Improvements need to be made within the certification process to encourage more private enterprises to participate.
Every person, every enterprise, every action has an impact and to truly offset carbon emissions will require the participation of the entire tourism industry.
We believe that there is no other industry that has more to gain and more to lose from global warming than tourism. More importantly, we are ideally positioned as a global industry and an economic power to be reckoned with.
However, with current certification programs and applications, most companies do not have the time, financial resources and will to withstand the process.
