Twin Otter Vistaliner

DeHaviland Twin Otter

The DeHaviland Twin Otter has gained international respect as an indispensable aircraft in all types of conditions. The Twin Otter is so revered in Canada, where it is produced that an early model has a permanent place in Calgary’s Aero Space Museum. Still Canada's most successful commercial aircraft program with more than 800 built, the Twin Otter remains popular for its rugged construction and useful STOL (short take off and landing) performance.

The Twin Otter essentially opened up the harsh Canadian Northern Territory to adventurous travelers and the subsequent rescue operations that were sometimes required from these adventures.

The Twin Otter has been to the North Pole more times than any other aircraft in the world. In April, 2001 two Twin Otters were used to evacuate Dr. Ronal Shamenski from the U.S. Amundsen-Scott South Pole station, a feat that made international headlines.

At Nature Air we are proud to continue the rich tradition of exploration and adventure of the Twin Otter, we have opened up remote destinations that previously were only reached by long and difficult journeys over land. Nature Air has the largest fleet of Twin Otters in Central America, our aircrafts have come from destinations as far away as Samoa and Australia and others from the Grand Canyon and Canada.

Today, Nature Air has six Twin Otters that make their home in the skies and 17 tropical runways of Costa Rica and Panama that Nature Air flies to.

So enjoy your flight with us today and congratulations on being a part of a long and rich history of adventure and exploration with the Twin Otter and Nature Air.
