Gran Hotel Bahia is located at the southern tip of Main Street, in a magnificent and antique wooden building, that has already celebrated its hundredth anniversary.  Built in 1905 as to serve as headquarters for United Fruit Company, it is considered one of the oldest buildings in the area.   

Since 1968 it houses Gran Hotel Bahía and has been subjected to a complete and thorough renovation, which included upgrading the rooms with modern conveniences, yet preserving the structural grandeur, while making it always pleasant for our Distinguished Guests to feel and take with them the memories of a place where the best of yesteryear mingles with the comfort of today.      

In the lobby, a large and aging safe is one of the most interesting attractions you may not want to miss.  It was installed during the construction of the building in 1905, after salvaging it from the original building that was destroyed by the 1904 fire.
