frequently asked questions

purchasing your ticket

  • What is the difference between the three fare classes?
Our fare classes were designed to accommodate the needs of budget, business and vacation travelers alike. The fare class you purchase determines your baggage allowance and cancellation policies and fees. Flex fare allows passengers to bring 40 lbs. of checked luggage, while Promo allows 27 lbs. and Locos is limited to 15 lbs. To learn more, select your flight dates in our booking engine. When you wave the mouse over the fare class, the details will appear.

  • How do I purchase multiple flights?
Our booking engine was designed specifically to reserve single segments and round trip flights. If you would like to purchase multiple flights without repeatedly entering your Credit Card information, we recommend using our Call Center. Call Toll Free (USA/CAN) 1-800-235-9272.

  • What are the additional fees added to the ticket price?
A fuel surcharge and airport services fee is added to the total price of your ticket.

  • Is there a passenger weight limit?
Passengers who weigh more than 300 lbs. must purchase 2 tickets. This is to block off an additional seat to meet aircraft weight requirements, and allow for the comfort and safety of all passengers. We recommend reserving the additional seat at the time of booking via the Call Center (Toll Free 1-800-235-9272) to receive a 20% discount. Otherwise, the seat will be charged upon check-in, using whatever fare is available at the time.

  • Flying with Children? Airfare Policy for Children
Minors from 1 to 23 months of age may travel on a parent's lap and they PAY ONLY TAXES for an amount of $25. Minors 2 years and up will be charged the regular airfare, except when taking advantage of our Kids Fly Free Program (valid May 1, 2011 through Dec. 15, 2011). Mothers flying alone with twins or 2 infants must purchase one adult ticket for the child and bring a car seat for the child to sit in.

  • Flying with Children? Regulations for unaccompanied minors
UM ages 6 years or more are allowed to fly alone; parents or legal guardian must provide contact, address and phone of person to receive the child at destination. Minors from infancy to 23 months may only fly with their parents. Minors ages 2 to 5 years 11 months may fly under adult supervision only. All minors must have legal documentation such as a school ID, passport or birth certificate. Flying internationally under 18 years old, parents must provide clearance from immigration and a copy to the airline. Parents must provide airline with full name, 2 telephone numbers and address of person to receive the child..
