Nosara is a bustling little town on the western shores of the Nicoya Peninsula. It is the gateway to Ostional National Wildlife Refuge protecting Olive Ridley Sea Turtle nesting grounds. Humpback and Grey Whales frequent the area in the winter and are visible from the shore. The great beaches of Playa Pelada, Playa Azul, Playa India, and Punta Guiones with this many protected coves offer coral and tide pools for snorkeling and swimming.
A great area to explore long solitary beaches with an abundance of flora in the giant Guanacaste and La Seba trees and green rolling hills where toucans, jaguarundis and howler monkeys flourish.
The area is dotted with small romantic hotels and beach Cabins.
